# Hocus Puzzle vs Bee Brilliant Blast

The clearest difference is ads: Bee Brilliant Blast at none against Hocus Puzzle's shown. Bee Brilliant Blast also leads on ratings volume (5K vs 42) and rating (4.9 vs 4.5). Hocus Puzzle's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hocus Puzzle sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Bee Brilliant Blast sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bee Brilliant Blast holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bee Brilliant Blast has 5K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Hocus Puzzle's written reviews are positive against 92% of Bee Brilliant Blast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hocus Puzzle ships an update fortnightly, Bee Brilliant Blast every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
