# FRYY vs Steak Timer Pro

The clearest difference is rating: FRYY at 3.5 against Steak Timer Pro's 1.0. FRYY also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 29 months) and ratings volume (61 vs 3). Steak Timer Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (40% vs 9%). On in-app purchases, chart position, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

FRYY costs $2.99 and Steak Timer Pro $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FRYY holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FRYY has 61 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of FRYY's written reviews are positive against 40% of Steak Timer Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FRYY ships an update every 2 months, Steak Timer Pro every 29 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
