# Steak Locker vs TempSpike

The clearest difference is rating: Steak Locker at 5.0 against TempSpike's 4.6. TempSpike's advantage is review sentiment (42% vs 15%) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Steak Locker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TempSpike has 2.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Steak Locker's written reviews are positive against 42% of TempSpike's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Steak Locker ships an update every 2 months, TempSpike every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
