# TimeTree vs Calendar

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Calendar at none against TimeTree's 35. Calendar also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (16.1 vs 18.0). TimeTree's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (93K vs 28). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeTree sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Calendar asks for nothing beyond the download.

TimeTree holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TimeTree has 93K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of TimeTree's written reviews are positive against 75% of Calendar's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
