# TimeTree vs Chouseisan

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chouseisan at none against TimeTree's 35. Chouseisan also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). TimeTree's advantage is ratings volume (93K vs 40) and chart position (#86 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeTree sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Chouseisan asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for TimeTree against 4.8 for Chouseisan. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TimeTree has 93K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of TimeTree's written reviews are positive against 75% of Chouseisan's.

TimeTree ships an update weekly, Chouseisan fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
