# EPiC vs Zap Minipos

The clearest difference is update cadence: Zap Minipos at every 3 weeks against EPiC's every 2 months. Zap Minipos also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EPiC ships an update every 2 months, Zap Minipos every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
