# Baptist Press vs Subsplash Check

The clearest difference is rating: Subsplash Check at 4.2 against Baptist Press's 3.5. Baptist Press's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Subsplash Check holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Baptist Press's written reviews are positive against 33% of Subsplash Check's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Baptist Press ships an update every 3 months, Subsplash Check every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
