# Barcode Lookup vs RanchRelay

The clearest difference is ads: RanchRelay at none against Barcode Lookup's shown. RanchRelay also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Barcode Lookup's advantage is ratings volume (659 vs 1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Barcode Lookup sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $99.00 per month and RanchRelay sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RanchRelay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Barcode Lookup has 659 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
