# ZenClock vs Flip Clock

The clearest difference is rating: Flip Clock at 4.6 against ZenClock's 4.0. Flip Clock also leads on ratings volume (71K vs 4) and review sentiment (72% vs 50%). ZenClock's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZenClock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Flip Clock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flip Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip Clock has 71K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of ZenClock's written reviews are positive against 72% of Flip Clock's.

ZenClock ships an update every 3 months, Flip Clock monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
