# Dedalus vs frekvens

The clearest difference is price: frekvens at $2.99 against Dedalus's $5.99. frekvens also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On rating, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Dedalus costs $5.99 and frekvens $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

frekvens holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41 and 21 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Dedalus's written reviews are positive against 83% of frekvens's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dedalus ships an update every 4 months, frekvens every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
