# Fomcal vs RCS

The clearest difference is price: RCS at Free against Fomcal's $1.99. RCS also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months). Fomcal's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

RCS is free to download; Fomcal costs $1.99 up front. Fomcal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RCS sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fomcal ships an update every 3 months, RCS every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
