# CLEP Financial Accounting Prep vs UniversalClass

The clearest difference is price: UniversalClass at Free against CLEP Financial Accounting Prep's $1.99. UniversalClass also leads on rating (3.2 vs 2.0) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). CLEP Financial Accounting Prep's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 20%). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

UniversalClass is free to download; CLEP Financial Accounting Prep costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UniversalClass holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UniversalClass has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of CLEP Financial Accounting Prep's written reviews are positive against 20% of UniversalClass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
