# Picker vs Gimme DEX

The clearest difference is rating: Gimme DEX at 4.9 against Picker's 2.0. Gimme DEX also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.2 vs 17.0). Picker's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 76 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gimme DEX holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gimme DEX has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Picker ships an update every 4 months, Gimme DEX every 76 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
