# TrainHeroic vs Pace Watch

The clearest difference is rating: TrainHeroic at 4.3 against Pace Watch's 3.8. TrainHeroic also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 4). Pace Watch's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TrainHeroic sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Pace Watch asks for nothing beyond the download.

TrainHeroic holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TrainHeroic has 1.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of TrainHeroic's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pace Watch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
