# Prophytes vs Jetpack for WordPress

The clearest difference is rating: Jetpack for WordPress at 4.7 against Prophytes's 4.1. Jetpack for WordPress also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (6.5K vs 36). Prophytes's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 49%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prophytes sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Jetpack for WordPress asks for nothing beyond the download.

Jetpack for WordPress holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jetpack for WordPress has 6.5K ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Prophytes's written reviews are positive against 49% of Jetpack for WordPress's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Prophytes ships an update monthly, Jetpack for WordPress every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
