# Prophytes vs Kappa Loop

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Kappa Loop at none against Prophytes's 5. Kappa Loop also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Prophytes's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 63%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prophytes sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Kappa Loop asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kappa Loop holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 36 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Prophytes's written reviews are positive against 63% of Kappa Loop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Prophytes ships an update monthly, Kappa Loop every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
