# Microvent Alert vs Flow

The clearest difference is update cadence: Flow at every 3 months against Microvent Alert's every 20 months. Flow also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Microvent Alert ships an update every 20 months, Flow every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
