# Case Files vs Biochemistry Mastery

The clearest difference is update cadence: Biochemistry Mastery at monthly against Case Files's every 21 months. Biochemistry Mastery also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Case Files sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Biochemistry Mastery sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
