# Setellite vs WriterDuet

The clearest difference is rating: Setellite at 4.3 against WriterDuet's 3.1. WriterDuet's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (37% vs 17%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Setellite sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $35.00 per month. WriterDuet asks for nothing beyond the download.

Setellite holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WriterDuet has 72 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Setellite's written reviews are positive against 37% of WriterDuet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Setellite ships an update monthly, WriterDuet every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
