# Headline Ninja vs Hydra

The clearest difference is rating: Hydra at 4.8 against Headline Ninja's 1.0. Hydra also leads on ratings volume (799 vs 2) and chart position (#127 vs unranked). Headline Ninja's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hydra sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Headline Ninja asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hydra holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hydra has 799 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Headline Ninja's written reviews are positive against 75% of Hydra's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Headline Ninja ships an update every 4 days, Hydra every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
