# Buzz vs Blip

The clearest difference is ads: Buzz at none against Blip's shown. Buzz also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 22) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). Blip's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (67% vs 50%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Buzz sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Blip sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Buzz holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Buzz has 1.5K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Buzz's written reviews are positive against 67% of Blip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Buzz ships an update every 3 weeks, Blip every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
