# FBCV vs FFCV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FBCV at none against FFCV's 1. FBCV also leads on ads (none vs shown). FFCV's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FFCV sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year. FBCV asks for nothing beyond the download.

FBCV ships an update every 2 months, FFCV every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
