# Wheels Up vs OpenFly

The clearest difference is monetization model: OpenFly at free against Wheels Up's free with in-app purchases. Wheels Up's advantage is ratings volume (4.6K vs 4) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Wheels Up against 4.8 for OpenFly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wheels Up has 4.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 46% of Wheels Up's written reviews are positive against 50% of OpenFly's.

Wheels Up ships an update every 10 days, OpenFly every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
