# Mapcha vs 3D Offline Maps

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mapcha at none against 3D Offline Maps's 8. Mapcha also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.4). 3D Offline Maps's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 11 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3D Offline Maps sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Mapcha asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mapcha holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 3D Offline Maps has 647 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Mapcha's written reviews are positive against 80% of 3D Offline Maps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mapcha ships an update every 11 months, 3D Offline Maps weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
