# Cheetah Note vs ScrollType

Cheetah Note and ScrollType both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 61% of Cheetah Note's written reviews are positive against 40% of ScrollType's. ScrollType's advantage is ratings volume (240 vs 20) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Cheetah Note against 4.5 for ScrollType. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScrollType has 240 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Cheetah Note's written reviews are positive against 40% of ScrollType's.

Cheetah Note ships an update fortnightly, ScrollType every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
