# Time vs Timely

The clearest difference is rating: Time at 4.8 against Timely's 2.5. Time also leads on ratings volume (362 vs 2). Timely's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Timely asks for nothing beyond the download.

Time holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time has 362 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Time's written reviews are positive against 100% of Timely's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Time ships an update every 2 months, Timely monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
