# Time vs TimeCalc

The clearest difference is rating: Time at 4.8 against TimeCalc's 4.5. Time also leads on ratings volume (362 vs 90). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and TimeCalc sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 362 and 90 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Time's written reviews are positive against 79% of TimeCalc's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Time ships an update every 2 months, TimeCalc every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
