# Time vs Time Calc.

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Time Calc. at none against Time's 6. Time Calc. also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). Time's advantage is ratings volume (362 vs 2) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Time Calc. asks for nothing beyond the download.

Time holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time has 362 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Time's written reviews are positive against 100% of Time Calc.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Time ships an update every 2 months, Time Calc. every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
