# Raya vs Intelligence Squared+

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Intelligence Squared+ at 100% against Raya's 14%. Intelligence Squared+ also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0). Raya's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Raya sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Intelligence Squared+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Intelligence Squared+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Raya has 17K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 14% of Raya's written reviews are positive against 100% of Intelligence Squared+'s.

Raya ships an update every 3 days, Intelligence Squared+ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
