# Raya vs nectar

The clearest difference is ads: Raya at none against nectar's shown. Raya also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (16K vs 107). nectar's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 14%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Raya sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and nectar sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Raya against 4.0 for nectar. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Raya has 16K ratings behind it against 107, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 14% of Raya's written reviews are positive against 43% of nectar's.

Raya ships an update every 2 days, nectar every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
