# Comic Book Viewer vs BDGest Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: BDGest Mobile at 5.0 against Comic Book Viewer's 3.8. Comic Book Viewer's advantage is ratings volume (135 vs 1) and review sentiment (71% vs 58%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BDGest Mobile holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comic Book Viewer has 135 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Comic Book Viewer's written reviews are positive against 58% of BDGest Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Comic Book Viewer ships an update every 3 months, BDGest Mobile every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
