# Comic Book Viewer vs GlobalComix

The clearest difference is rating: GlobalComix at 4.8 against Comic Book Viewer's 3.8. GlobalComix also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (4.8K vs 135). Comic Book Viewer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and review sentiment (71% vs 55%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GlobalComix sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Comic Book Viewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

GlobalComix holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GlobalComix has 4.8K ratings behind it against 135, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Comic Book Viewer's written reviews are positive against 55% of GlobalComix's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Comic Book Viewer ships an update every 3 months, GlobalComix every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
