# Intervals Pro vs Timeline

The clearest difference is update cadence: Intervals Pro at every 8 days against Timeline's every 22 months. Intervals Pro also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 9) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Timeline's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 84%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Intervals Pro sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Timeline sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Intervals Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Intervals Pro has 14K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Intervals Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Timeline's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Intervals Pro ships an update every 8 days, Timeline every 22 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
