# Blue vs Expeditions Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Blue at 3.7 against Expeditions Pro's 3.0. Blue also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 18 months). Expeditions Pro's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 43%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blue holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Blue's written reviews are positive against 75% of Expeditions Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Blue ships an update every 3 months, Expeditions Pro every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
