# Thermometer. vs Thermo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Thermo at 87% against Thermometer.'s 38%. Thermo also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (131 vs 3). Thermometer.'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thermo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.09 per month. Thermometer. asks for nothing beyond the download.

Thermometer. holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thermo has 131 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Thermometer.'s written reviews are positive against 87% of Thermo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thermometer. ships an update every 2 months, Thermo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
