# Thermometer. vs Thermometer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Thermometer at 81% against Thermometer.'s 38%. Thermometer also leads on ratings volume (28 vs 3). Thermometer.'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thermometer sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Thermometer. asks for nothing beyond the download.

Thermometer. holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thermometer has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Thermometer.'s written reviews are positive against 81% of Thermometer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thermometer. ships an update every 2 months, Thermometer every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
