# TYPE S LED vs Sync

The clearest difference is rating: Sync at 4.6 against TYPE S LED's 2.8. Sync also leads on ratings volume (4.1K vs 311) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). TYPE S LED's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (28% vs 17%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sync sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. TYPE S LED asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sync holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sync has 4.1K ratings behind it against 311, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of TYPE S LED's written reviews are positive against 17% of Sync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TYPE S LED ships an update every 3 months, Sync monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
