# GENIUSlink vs Hearing Aid

The clearest difference is rating: Hearing Aid at 4.0 against GENIUSlink's 2.8. Hearing Aid also leads on chart position (#177 vs unranked) and ratings volume (430 vs 61). GENIUSlink's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 11.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hearing Aid sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. GENIUSlink asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hearing Aid holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hearing Aid has 430 ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of GENIUSlink's written reviews are positive against 17% of Hearing Aid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GENIUSlink ships an update every 2 months, Hearing Aid every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
