# Avi vs Crestron Go

The clearest difference is rating: Avi at 3.9 against Crestron Go's 2.5. Avi also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 31). Crestron Go's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crestron Go sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Avi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Avi holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avi has 1.9K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Avi's written reviews are positive against 27% of Crestron Go's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Avi ships an update every 6 weeks, Crestron Go every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
