# Tandem vs Fastlingo

The clearest difference is rating: Fastlingo at 5.0 against Tandem's 4.6. Tandem's advantage is ratings volume (39K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tandem sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Fastlingo sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fastlingo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tandem has 39K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tandem ships an update weekly, Fastlingo every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
