# FlyVPN vs Door Remote

The clearest difference is rating: Door Remote at 5.0 against FlyVPN's 4.5. Door Remote also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 15) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). FlyVPN's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 3). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlyVPN sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Door Remote asks for nothing beyond the download.

Door Remote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlyVPN has 1.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlyVPN ships an update every 6 weeks, Door Remote every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
