# Mattress Checker vs UPRIGHT

The clearest difference is ratings volume: UPRIGHT at 3.9K against Mattress Checker's 4. UPRIGHT also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Mattress Checker's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 25%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UPRIGHT holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UPRIGHT has 3.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Mattress Checker's written reviews are positive against 25% of UPRIGHT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mattress Checker ships an update every 2 months, UPRIGHT every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
