# Simian Projects vs LucidLink

The clearest difference is rating: Simian Projects at 4.4 against LucidLink's 3.4. Simian Projects also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). LucidLink's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 21 months) and review sentiment (67% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Simian Projects holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Simian Projects's written reviews are positive against 67% of LucidLink's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simian Projects ships an update every 21 months, LucidLink every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
