# CSIT vs phase estimation algorithm

The clearest difference is update cadence: phase estimation algorithm at monthly against CSIT's every 5 months. CSIT's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CSIT ships an update every 5 months, phase estimation algorithm monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
