# Star Wars vs Crystal FX (crystalfocus)

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Star Wars at none against Crystal FX (crystalfocus)'s 1. Star Wars also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 19). Crystal FX (crystalfocus)'s advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crystal FX (crystalfocus) sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Star Wars asks for nothing beyond the download.

Star Wars holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Star Wars has 2K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Star Wars's written reviews are positive against 73% of Crystal FX (crystalfocus)'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Star Wars ships an update every 2 months, Crystal FX (crystalfocus) monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
