# Star Wars vs Black Library

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Star Wars at 66% against Black Library's 11%. Star Wars also leads on rating (4.4 vs 2.2) and in-app purchases (none vs 14). Black Library's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Black Library sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Star Wars asks for nothing beyond the download.

Star Wars holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Star Wars has 2K ratings behind it against 94, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 66% of Star Wars's written reviews are positive against 11% of Black Library's.

Star Wars ships an update every 2 months, Black Library every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
