# Star Wars vs GridIQ

The clearest difference is rating: GridIQ at 5.0 against Star Wars's 4.4. GridIQ also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Star Wars's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GridIQ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Star Wars has 2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 66% of Star Wars's written reviews are positive against 100% of GridIQ's.

Star Wars ships an update every 2 months, GridIQ fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
