# WordBoard vs ℂKey

The clearest difference is rating: WordBoard at 4.9 against ℂKey's 3.8. WordBoard also leads on ratings volume (5.6K vs 13). ℂKey's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (86% vs 77%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WordBoard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. ℂKey asks for nothing beyond the download.

WordBoard holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WordBoard has 5.6K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of WordBoard's written reviews are positive against 86% of ℂKey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
