# The Lost Fountain vs Cyber Protocol

The clearest difference is price: Cyber Protocol at Free against The Lost Fountain's $2.99. Cyber Protocol also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 28 months). The Lost Fountain's advantage is ratings volume (90 vs 7) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Cyber Protocol is free to download; The Lost Fountain costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cyber Protocol holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Lost Fountain has 90 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of The Lost Fountain's written reviews are positive against 80% of Cyber Protocol's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Lost Fountain ships an update every 28 months, Cyber Protocol every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
