# Prank Lie Detector vs Lie Detector

The clearest difference is rating: Lie Detector at 5.0 against Prank Lie Detector's 4.3. Lie Detector also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months). Prank Lie Detector's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prank Lie Detector sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lie Detector sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lie Detector holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prank Lie Detector has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Prank Lie Detector ships an update every 10 months, Lie Detector every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
